What is the combat log in Rust?
The combat log is a built-in feature in Rust that records all combat events. You can access it by opening the console with F1 and typing combatlog. It shows who hit whom, with what weapon, where on the body, and how much damage was dealt.
Is my data safe and private?
Yes. Your combat log is processed entirely in your browser. No data is sent to our servers unless you explicitly click the "Share" button to create a shareable link. We take your privacy seriously.
How many entries can I see?
By default, the combatlog command shows the last 30 entries. You can increase this by typing combatlog 100 to see up to 100 entries.
Why are players shown as numbers?
Rust identifies players by their Steam ID in the combat log. Our tool automatically fetches their Steam profile names and avatars to make the log easier to read. You can also set custom nicknames.
Can I share my combat log?
Yes! You can generate a unique shareable URL or export the results as a high-quality PNG image. Perfect for sharing on Discord, Reddit, or with your teammates.
Does this work on modded servers?
Yes. The combat log format is the same regardless of whether you are playing on a vanilla or modded server. Our parser handles all standard combat log output.
